If you use the dump tube to cycle back down into the downpipe, it's probably just as much work as running it to the side, but running it into the side decreses backpressure. Think of it this way, people get larger exhausts to release more exhaust gas. 2.5" and a 3" make a huge difference in hp on a boosted car. It's best to run the shortest, thickest pipe you can essentially. But, you don't want hot nasty smelly air blowing out in your engine bay and getting into your car when the windows are down. You also don't want to have a pipe so big you need to avoid speed bumps. That's why u have to stick with a 3". So, back to my point, you want to avoid dumping in more exhaust fumes into your catback since there already is backpressure from the fumes from ur compressors exhaust housing. Running it to the side of the bumper reduces heat getting to the intercooler(since hot ehaust fumes aren't getting released in the engine bay) and it's getting out the side, so it's not going to blow in your face when your windows are down

anybody in the squad need a rear lip?
96-98 Type-R style rear lip [$90 shipped]
This is a rear Type-R style lip from JDMsh!t. I only took it out of the wrapper to test fit it on my car. It doesn't fit because my exhaust hugs the bumper to close. Otherwise its a great lip. Even comes with hardware to mount it.

Re: ***HT's Official EJ8 Squad*** (Gremice)
finally got some pics of my foglights.
i know i need to go lower with a lip and matching wheels. moneys tight. the reason for the 2 different wheels is that the fronts are gettin new tires and resprayed (whenever i get around to it ) i plan on goin with either a mugen or sir lip. so hope you enjoy.

Why don't you go to an exhaust shop and have them extend your hangers on your exhaust and call it a day .

i don't really want to mess with my exhaust though. the resonator already scrapes in some places. if i don't get any takers on the lip i may get some longer hangers made and mount it up, but for now i just don't want to deal with it. i'd rather spend the money on my motor then on modifying the exhaust to get this to fit. we'll see how things go.
