hey guys, a friend of mine is having a problem. if anyone knows what this might be please help.
okay so when he starts his car, it will idle wierd. it jumps from 1,100 rpm down to 300 and jumps around for about 5 seconds and then it shuts off. when he restarts it he will drive off and vtec will NOT engage, and it tacks out at 6,700 rpms. when he pulls over and shuts the car off, and then on again it will redline like normal but still NO vtec.
before the problem was this bad, everytime vtec engaged the car would idle jump from 1,800 rpm down below 1k. sound familiar to anyone?
oh and by the way its a gsr b18c

anotherej is the engine using coolant? either that or you have an air bubble trapped somewhere. although civics are not that hard to flush coolant on and keep the air out .
i love my ej8 sounds like either oil pressure issues or since it is a swap it could be wiring, ecm, or solenoid

im pretty sure its the p72. and oil pressure sounds like it could be the problem i guess. or possibly the solenoid.
hey when putting a gsr motor into a ej8, which upper radiator hose do u guys use? i bought a gsr one but its too thick to fit my sohc radiator. whats the deal with that?
