would it be wise to put a headgasket on a ls to lower the compression?
i know this is a controversial topic with many opinions. i have a 95 ls engine and i was advised to use a headgasket to lower the compression to boost "safely." from my opinion 9.2:1 is a pretty good compression ratio to turbocharge.
i was advised by the cats at AEBS to run a headgasket so i can boost 12-14psi "safely." i'm not sure if this is wise since the ls' have a low compression ratio already. if anyone have any experiences with this, i would appreciate some insight. would this effect my torque on the lower part of the powerband where i would have to rely on boost 24/7? or is this a good product to invest in?
i'm planning to run this with a hondata and rc 550cc's. thanks in adv.
