Default Worth It?

Ok sorry guys in advance, but I am still new to the whole turbo thing. My question was that I found this on ebay and was wondering if it was worth it.

I mean its a generic manifold, wastegate, and downpipe, but seems to be wellcrafted. But thats the thing, I am not sure since its "HKS Style".

Anyways its all brand new and I guess all I would need is piping, ic, injectors, ecu program, various lines, etc. So I think its possible to do it under 1500 with some used parts. I just wanted the turbo to be new and its a garrett, so is it worth the price/risk?

Here's what I don't get. they claim to have the exact smae turbo as mine in every detail, yet the compressor and 5 bolt turbine looks nothing like mine! Is this an older model or something

This is what I have come to conclusion of. Yes the manifold is made poorly and yes it's a crappy product, but if you brace it correctly and not like the pic above (whole differnt story if you read the thread) you MAY be able to get that manifold to work. Few have succeded and many have failed. If you want to try it out go for it and find out how best to brace the turbo, but it is your money

That qualifies for stupid statement of the year. Here's a little wake up call for you, Hondas are foreign made, most turbos are foreign made, and most performance parts are foreign made. Where a part is made is inconsequential, it's how the part is made and what technologies and engineering principles and business practices used that make for good quality parts. And just for fun, here's a quote from Garrett's website...

The company has engineering centers in US, France, Japan and China, and operates manufacturing plants in France, Italy, United Kingdom, Romania, Mexico, Brazil, Korea and China.

Yes its definitly worth it. I am running this setup on my NSX turbo powered hatchback. I am at a little over 1000hp. And thanks to this manifold, i hit full boost (40 psi) at 2000 rpms. SSautocrap is da bomb.
