wiring gremlins
I have an apexi turbo timer and a car alarm installed.
Symptoms;
When driving voltage drops to around 12.2 when idleing (happens when i slow down at stop light and rush hour traffic)
If I rev up to about 3.5 or 4k it starts to go back up.
This doesnt always happen.
My car has "Blinked" off while sitting at the light. it reset my clock and radio. but never actually shut off the engine.
Somedays it doesnt go below 13.8 volts (like it should) and other days it is really wacky. It has even set my car alarm off when i let my timer shut off the car.
I have checked all timer wiring, alternator plugs and belt tension.
This problem was not aparent untill 3 days ago, the most recent mods i have done were the timer install (2 months ago), and rteplaced my alternator (4months ago)
Can some please help me diagnose this sparatic problem. I think it is a loose/bad wire. But where should i start? has this happened to anyone before?
Thanks for taking the time to help me.

Re: wiring gremlins (Vertigo)
that could be i will have to check it out, its just wierd that it woudl wait 4 months to go bad, plus why would a bad voltage regulator reset my clock? Doesnt that take a complete electrical absence?
