Default Car turns off even when timer is set

Guys....i have the turbo timer set for 2 1/2 minutes and for some reason the car stays on like its supposed to when it wants with the 2 1/2 countdown then it shuts off like its supposed to be then like every other time when i take the key out it doesn't want to stay on....it stays on when it wants and shuts off when it wants;.....this darn thing is supposed to keep the car running every time and not shut off the engine until the countdown is over....the wiring is correct...what do you guys think it could be besides the wiring?

check and make sure the handbrake connection is good. i had this problem and it was a loose connection at this wire. so i guess only check if the car shuts when you let the handbrake down.

What brand of timer? I had the pencil sized apexi one and it did that to me.

Changed to the Greddy timer I have now (with no wiring changes) and it works 100% of the time.

Try the brown wire that goes to the hand brake. If that don't work maybe you can swing by my house and we can plug in my timmer in your car to see if you have a bad timmer.
