wiring a fan to the back of an intercooler????
would this be benificial in the aid of getting air to the radiator?, as it would be pulling air into the intercooler and, help bring it into the radiator? it was just a thought and, wondered what everybody thought of that suggestion. Do you think it would help in any way?

Re: wiring a fan to the back of an intercooler???? (turbo-crx)
It won't help much, rather it could hurt. I've done the math, and even two 14" fans w/o ducting pose a restriction above 25mph. They work on the radiator since its square and the air has slowed from going through 2 cores already and isn't in direct path of forward airflow (at least half of it isnt').
A good suggestion is to use foam & sheet metal to duct air to the radiator. The foam is for the small areas on the sides where air will want to sidestep the radiator, rather than go through it. That and heat sheilds/wrapping help more than anything on a cramped engine bay with a big turbo & downpipe. With 1/2" of ceramic insulation on the piping, my 3" DP on my topmount barely gets warm.
