Anyone use a fan on an intercooler?? Would it help in any way?
Just curious since I just put some pusher fans on my Koyo.
Im wondering if it would benefit me in any way at all to put a couple puller fans on my Precision 600.
Then not only would I have a pusher fan on my radiator Id have a puller on my IC which would also then be flowing more air at the radiator.(If that made sense)
This company is selling 7 inch fans which would fit perfectly on the Precision 600.

I think once are are moving at any sort of speed the intercooler will get plenty of airflow. Radiator fans seem like they are more for when you are stopped in traffic and moving slowly.
Now if you are doing this to try and push (or pull) more air into the radiator then I guess it makes sense, although it seems like it would be a tight fit to but a puller on the intercooler and pusher on the radiator. I think maybe a puller on the radiator and a pusher would make more sense, if you have the clearance between the radiator and turbo/mani/dp etc.
But if you aren't running hot then I probably wouldn't mess with it, but thats just my .02

If you watch the Datalogs on a turbo car,the temps drop pretty fast after sitting for a while once you get moving.
I daily drive my ITR in the Florida summers and have no issues with the same intercooler.
However, fans can't hurt.

many factory intercooled setups have puller fans on the IC. if your running a FMIC i wouldnt want pusher fans, i could imagine them actually acting as barriers for the cold air.

The barrier is the same. On the front or on the back you still have the same amount of fan blocking the same amount of air.
I wouldn't do it. You're blocking airflow when needed (while moving) for the sake of gaining airflow when you don't need it (how much boost do you see at idle?).
If you're worried about your coolant, get a higher flowing radiator fan (or another fan if you have a full size) or a bigger radiator.

Im sure the IC cools enough at anything over 30MPH

yeah but wouldn't it be reasonable to use a fan on your intercooler if you are not going to mount the intercooler on the front of the car (FMIC).
The only reason i say this i because i am planning on running the intercooler in the stock air box location (horizontally). Where it would not get any air flow other from a fan. So i think in that context it would be reasonable to install a pusher fan to concede with cooling.
