it depends on the efficiency of the setup and when your fuel limits you, but yes the turbo is physically capable of making 450whp

at over 22psi. That exhaust wheel is stressed for sure with that turbo, and IATs, will increase dramatically.

Bingo. I would upgrade to a larger turbo for 450whp.

I agree with a bigger turbo for your 450 goal.

That said, I'll throw in this idea. SInce you already own the 57Trim, and it will get you to 400hp, why not go ahead and use it to get your project started? That way you can build and tune the entire system, and get some real world performance numbers from it, using what you already have. This will allow you to find any issues with the system. Bottlenecks from routing, pipe sizing, intercooler flow, can all be found using the turbo you already own. Once those are found and corrected, and you approach the limits of the 57trim, then upgrade to the larger turbo.

My reasoning for this is based on the assumption that your 57trim is a standard Garret turbo, and that you can you will upgrade to the a larger Garrett turbo, which can support the 450HP level. Potentially, these two turbos will have the same configuration of all of the attachment points, allowing you to just bolt the new turbo into the existing system, without needing to modify the system.

Just a retune, and you're good.

Hope that helps.

Craig

yeah it's a standard bearing turbo... i can make this kinda power with my d-series with less money on the build.... i want to do an expensive build and aim higher but don't have that kinda money anymore. i wanna redo the setup but already spent too much on it. sellin loses value and most people would love what i have already... awh, what a mess...

400whp or 600+whp sleeved? i'll think about it..
