Default will this intercooler work?

alright so this is probably a stupid question to those who know stuff about turbo set ups, but i am a beginner and am slowly gathering parts for a poor mans turbo build in my sohc zc crx, starting with a t3 turbo from a Volvo

so my question is simple.
can this intercooler be made to work with my sohc zc t3 turbo set up in my 91 crx?

would i have to do any cutting or welding or anything on the intercooler itself? and while im on the topic how are universal turbo pipe kits from ebay? is it better to spend more money to make custom piping?

i owner believes this intercooler is from a jdm evo...

That intercooler looks good. The intercooler piping kits from ebay are just as good as a 450 dollar pipe kit. I bought the same piping for my build. My build is like 3,500 dollars in just parts.

So the piping kits on ebay that are $100 bucks are a good buy.

I hope I helped out

Go over to homemadeturbo.com and register and get a piping kit off of Donald125. He sells the same kits you see on ebay for $95 shipped.

yup you did help out, i hope mine comes to no where near that price though... i got the turbo for free, got an hf manifold for i think it was 25, i think adapter plates on ebay are around 60$, intercooler im hoping to spend no more than 150$, piping for around 100, probably going to trade someone parts for the injectors, really the only expensive thing is going to be the tuning and maybe the down pipe

i figure $500-650 before tuning

My setup is going to come out to around $700. But then again I'm going to be running an FMU.

FMU= Fuel Management Unit which is the cheap way and supposedly bad way to go for fuel management.

I have the gauges and they seem ok. Check out my cardomain and you can see them. I made some videos of them working. Only thing is that my car isn't boosted yet so you don't see any boost on the boost gauge. I am thinking about buying the SSQV BOV off him but I just bought a BOV from some one else for $15.50. I'm kind of mad now.

They are Chinese low budget stuff and he is the first to tell you that.Chinese BOV's are fine they work great as well as intercoolers etc just done use the turbos and you are ogod to go.The gauges seam to work fine but i personally would buy something better if you can afford it.I bought a bunch of stuff from him like HID's,fog light kits etc and no problems with the stuff. If you are doing a budget build then go ahead and use the turbo stuff if you are planning on making some reasonably big hp numbers you are obviously going to need some better quality stuff

a little off the subject, but to help my budget build i went around to local muffler shops for about a month or so and asked the owners for scraps in the size i needed. i welded my own piping, so it def saved me some cash.
