Will FMIC piping work with an SMIC
Will piping kits like this work on an side mount intercooler?

will def need welding work and possible misc bends...(you'll need welding work regardless for the blow off valve flange)
cost effective to get a fmic (paint black if your trying to be sneaky)

yep, cutting, bending.. welding... sometimes it takes like 3-4 welds just to get one bend .... IC piping kits are overpriced... just order some j-bends and u-bends from summit racing.. they're already mandrell bent... then have a mufffler shop cut and weld your IC piping for you

o ok, should i just ditch the whole smic for a fmic, but i dont have that much money. do you think the smic are even any good. would someone wanna trade an smic + money for a fmic?

IMHO smic are worthless. Granted for the money they aren't that bad but you figure for a couple hundred you can get a decent intercooler that not only functions better but also looks better and usually involves less fab work (typically). I say ditch the SMIC and get a FMIC.
