Default will the factory lsd hold up?

here's the setup: ls turbo, 15+ psi in a crx, hondata tuned......right now i've got a y1 tranny with factory lsd. is the factory lsd gonna hold up? my mechanic wants to put a ls tranny in my setup because he says the ls tranny will be better for my setup because of the taller gearing and PLUS the factory lsd isn't gonna last very long. what do you guys think?

-should i keep my y1 with factory lsd or put in the ls tranny?

(i know you guys are tired of hearing this topic, but i searched and i am getting mixed reviews and 50/50 type answers. i just want some help, i've been an all motor type guy for a while and i like the shorter gearing with my all motor setups, but this is gonna be my first experience with FI......and i need some help here.)

do not put a peg leg LS tranny over LSD. Let me guess, he wants to keep the LSD tranny?

no, he didn't mention anything about keeping mine....but since you bring it up, that is definitely something to think about..........

i've been pondering this too, different set up (stock h22 lsd m2b4) but i'm thinking abotu sleeving my block and putting down probably around 400ish whp but i don;t think i'm going to if it'll fry my lsd, then make my tranny go to hell. bump for some responds from expierenced people

I use a stock GSR (non LSD) transmission with stock diff. and have over 500whp, and so far have had no problems with the diff. but i could just be lucky.. Id get an LSD but no $$$$...
