Default Will 84mm really make a difference?

Hi,

Tryig to figure out if boring out my B16 to 84mm after getting GE sleeves will really buy me anything. It'd appear that my displacement will go up to around 1700cc if everything else is the same... would it really buy me anything in an FI application?

thanks,
-S

yeah it will make a difference. the more displacement you have, the more other mods will help you. thats why those big boy v8's can get like 15-20whp from an intake, where we get like 3-5whp. the more displacement you have, the more hp you'll get from a turbo, an intake manifold, etc etc etc. if you have the funds, its worth it in the end if you know you'll eventually do it.

This is my set up B16 GE sleeves bored out to 84mm, JE pistons, open combustion chamber to match 84mm bored, and ferrea valve train. This thing could put out 450-500whp easily. These cost me around $3500.
