Default Will a 3" intake really make a negative difference?

I have a three inch cai which i want to use for my charge pipes. Iv heard people say that it will slow down my spool time, but will it really be noticeable? Will i lose any power as well. Im planning on useing 2.5" charge pipes form the intercooler to the cai, and them 3" all the way to the Tb.

It will spool slower because it has more space it has to fill up with compressed air before it goes through your engine and then reaches the turbine.

If you do choose to go this route though you should definately replace the TB with a 75mm mustang TB and get an IM with a bigger bore
