hey guys need some help one of my customers brought me his car thaty he had built by some one else and it has a erratic idle between 1k to 2k after it warms up i checked the iac valve and its ok cleaned it out and reinstalled it and i also tried another fast idle thermo valve and still the same thing i would appreciate any help i have fixed many of these problems before but this one is wierd

 

MAF sensor? throttle body........?

 

if this helps it is a gsr turbo motor that he has in the car

 

Air in the head?

 

vac leak

make sure the trottle body gasket is not on backwards.

I know you said you cleaned out the IAC, but are you sure that it is functioning correctly. If you unplug it while the car is warm and running, what does it do?

 

honda have a map sensor not a maf sensor, check if the map sensor poped out of the bleeder vavles.

what is he using for engine management? any cels?
