Wich turbo and internal engine combination, that suitable for 700-800chp on 2.2L
Wich turbo and internal engine combination, that suitable for 700-800ish Crank HP for 2.2L motor?
My basic nature was N/A engine, I was entirely newbie in turbo world.
but I have a plan to learn more in turbochargered world.
And I have a partner that mostly played with 600-700hp mits. evolution and he was also a tunner that would help me to build this motor.
Lets say, It might be my stroked golden eagle block 2.2L b series engine (85x95), or maybe a stock H22 motor that I’ve ready got.
What I need is a turbo that capable to create flat powerband and not lagged from 6000-9000rpm.
Many said (and the ray hall software also said) that I should use the GT42 series with 0.96 – 1.21 AR, but im afraid this turbo would be lagged to spool on a 2.2L motor, because I don’t want a peaky powerband, and don’t want to rev over 9300rpm.
And wich is dilemma to me is my partner want a smaller turbo for my project, he would go with GT32-GT35 ish.. im afraid it would be to small and coulnd handle the flow that the engine needs for its hp goal.
Would you guys guide me about the turbo selection.
And how is the best camshaft for this setup? Maximum duration? Centerline? I see that turbo engine want a very different lobe centerline not like NA motor that I ussually put on 100-108 range.
Please guide me.

In my research I have decided to go with the turbine .63 A/R and compressor .50 A/R...hope that helps....

For your hp goals and spooling needs I would recommend a Bullseye Power S366 and Skunk2 Pro 1 cams. Very important to use good flowing exhaust manifold with this combination. This combination has worked very well for B-Series motors. With your H, I would think it will spool faster.

7-800 chp is how much whp? because i don't think in chp i think in whp and if i knew that i could give you a better answer on the turbo that would fit your needs but a .63 50trim maxes out at about 500whp so thats not gonna cut it
you may be able to get away with a HTA3586 or a bullseye 364 not exactly sure i need to know how much whp your looking for not chp and i could give a very good answer on the turbo to go with
