Default why would vacum change with the install of a boost controller?

Im using a Turbo XS manual boost controller, with the boost controller hooked up my vacum(greddy boost gauge) sits at -450.. isnt -500 or below what its supposed to sit at? Well I unhooked the BC and my vacum went down to -550 where it should be.. What would be causing this? defective boost controller? too many vacum lines hooked up to one spot maybe?

it may be like you dais, too many vacuum tap in to one source...
try to do it evenly, between the vacuum sources...

I might be by later on tonight..
