That's why you don't have this problem.... You don't drive hard and you don't make a BUTTLOAD of power.

I don't have any internal pic shots....
And I personally would never use steel wool. That **** rusts fast and will contaminate your oil.
In all reality you probibly won't need to baffle a setup like this. It is so large that after your run it won't even be 1/4 full. Then when you let off it will drain back. I might make another box (this one only cost me what the fittings cost and the filters, maybe $50) and try it unbaffled to see what the results are.

mine is a light fixture from a house...in this pic is right next to my dizzy

fully functional. silicone it shut...drill a hold on one side and put a screw in it to empty it out and out a breather filter on the other side.

From: I drink Seafoam and poo into catch cans, USA
for baffeling, use one of those foofy things girls use in the shower. Its plastics so it won't rust or come apart in little pieces.
this is what I have in my two catch cans.

But that could melt with the 180deg oil temps no?

hey, just got a question
I plan on making 250-300hp on my h22 this year and I would like to run a simple catch can setup... Therefore, i will run it like so (seen in picture)
I also plan on using a Greddy Setup (w/ breather and steele wool) or and edyn/moroso setup
but does the mounting of the catch can matter? can it be below, how long can the lines be? Do i have this correct?

i use no catch can.. i have 3 baffled vents through valve cover. the other is through pcv valve into intake manifold but with check valve in between to prevent pressure back into the engine.
i'm not sure if using catch can with breather setup is sufficient enough to allow all that pressure to get through.. lets compare it to exhaust, the longer/smaller the exhaust, the harder it is for pressure to escape.. this should be similar for engine ventilation. instead of exposing the vent straight to air, you limit it to small long hose that goes inside small container with breather filter that eventuall gets clogged up and becomes a restriction. end result maybe you're not letting enough pressure out.
i do run lines from 2 of the vents on valve cover - they point down into the ground.. however, i'm thinking of just removing these as i might be able to evacuate pressure better without the lines. they point towards air filter and thats somewhat of concern..

I am putting down 450whp on the "little black box"
I have a vent on the valve cover to a small baffled can w/no problems thus far...
Gets a little from time to time..nothing major.

The greddy oil catch can has no breather, is this needed? Im gonna be running 350whp, turbo setup on my F22 accord, im collecting parts for the built and catch can is one of them, i thought it was a simple line into a a can kinda deal, but you guys are talking about breathers, return to the block? Is this all necessary....
