who sprays their lsvtec?
like it says....im buildin an lsvtec and i wanna spray it but since i wont be spray that often whats a decent cr for dailly driving 10.5? I plan to use a 75 shot and def wet.
There are guys around here that spray 50 shots all day with no problems on their B18C's. I think its a dry shot though. Bigger injectors and fuel pump will help for motor safety.
BoredNStroked (aka Spencer) has his LSVTEC that he blew up once squeezing with 11.50:1 JE slugs but we can't really count that as the motor was running perfect, he just had sleeves that were a 1mm over... At std. and maybe 0.50mm over I see no reason why it shouldn't hold up just fine... Anywho since he blew up it up, we just sent it out, sleeved it to 84.50mm and rebuilt it at 10.50:1 and he's working on a 200-300 progressive system... Is this motor you're building sleeved, forged pistons, rods? Even if it isn't with the proper tuning you should hold up just fine... Always read your plugs, you can tell a lot from them... Just my $0.02
ya it will be sleeved with forged internals.....and while im askin skunk 2 stage 2s should be good for this setup right? or would itr/ctr cams b any better or anythin else you can think of im open to suggestions
i sprayed a 150 shot on a stock ls/vtec with a direct port setup. It hit very hard and i never had i problem, but i only sprayed about 10 bottles through the engine.
