Who runs the thermal 3"? How is it?
I want the Thermal 3" exhaust on my ITR with a JRSC. Is there a cat that will bolt up to it, or do I have to have something custom made? How loud is it? Do they make a silencer for it? My ITR is a daily driver, so i cant have anything too loud. Thanks.

Stay away from it when you can not hear a LOOUUUD as hell car. Go to my link and few the 1st album. I have welded a carsound 3" cat and a mid pipe resonator into the 3" pipe. It was WAY to loud without those things. And after the welding work it was just a little too loud. Nice sound tho!!!!
Now I have ditched the JRSC and I run a T3/T04e turbo and it has helped a bit, but it is loud enough.

its pretty ****** loud. and any type of silencer is gonna have an impact on hsp. i'd only go 3" if you and your local police department have no problems with you being rediculously loud.

My friend has a 3" Thermal on his 16g powered Eclipse. It's loud but it sounds beautiful at WOT with boost! Thermal sound =

Funny, cuz my friend has a 3" thermal on his 93 talon TSI with 16g turbo....it isn't loud at all. It is quiet. Maybe it is his stock cat and DP??
I don't want my car to be that quiet. I am running a high flow cat with a Tanabe RM, oh, and no turbo yet.

We have all kinds of loud *** trucks and v8s around here that never seem to have trouble with the police. I only hope that they won't have a problem with my little Civic being Thermal 3" loud. Ya know, they'll say some **** like "Uh that thang ani't supposed to be a performance car so it can't be that loud."

Austrian type-R; How long is your resonator? I find my Thermal to be too annoying at highway speed. The dronning noise bugs the **** outa me. I will be welding a resonator in soon, probably from BRE but was wondering how long to go...18"???

I've heard a GSX through a 3" Thermal with a 3' cat and downpipe and it wasn't really LOUD, but you could feel it more, sorta like a rumble.

Exactly...Harleys are so irritating. We have a "biker bar" on main street here (it's the last "small town" type place in DFW) and since the yuppies got in on the Harley thing they go riding around on their stupid soft tails sounding like a bunch of elephants with gas...argh!!!

Does anyone have any pics of the 3" Thermal for a G3 Integra? I have heard that they aren't very loud with a turbo'd car... true? or myth? I'd be comparing it's loudness to that of my GReddy SP or a Comptech ss cat-back.

I recently switched from 2.5" dp, stock cat and ~2.5" exhaust to 3" dp, no cat and 3" Thermal. It is alot louder but not too loud for me. It has a nice deep tone.

i just put a 3 inch thermal and a 3 inch downpipe and 3 inch test pipe on a 99 gsx and it is the most bueatiful sound , very low rumble like sound at idle and sounds very raw at wot, made a HUGE difference in spool time and hp and torque. i

True, they arent that loud, they have a rumble during cruising, but Not to loud, and i have a 3" DP,TP, and thermal

Its all relative...Compared to stock, you may find it unbearable at first. The loudness is more rumble. Its low enough in frequency that most people outside the car won't really notice it as you drive by. In the car is another story. It can be annoying at times especially with someone else in the car. If i'm alone, i don't give a **** cause its my car and I know why I made it that way

I have a custom 3" exhaust w/ 3" carsound cat, 22" magnaflow resonator and universal oval magnalflow muffler. Honostly, its not that loud at all. It took a few days to get used to because I was coming from a ITR exhaust, but I've heard much worse coming out of the Apex N1.

depends on your opinion of "loud". my 3" thermal on my integra is loud to me.. not annoying loud, just deep and low.. something i can deal with.
on the other hand, i've got a friend with an apex n1 on a turbo eclipse.. i don't think it's as loud as mine.

People should contrast the different of loudness for themselves. I think different people have different definition of loudness so jus go next to a 3" thermal or stand next to a harley..... for instance... i don't really like to stand rite next to a big *** speaker at a club, while some people stand 1 inch from it.......peace

I think its louder in the cabin than it is outside. I used to think it was loud, which it is compared to a greddy etc, but it sounds to nice. I compare it to a supra with exhaust...
