Ditto... I even have a stock cat... power feels like it peaks at about 5500, and drops from there.

im pretty sure everybody loses power in the top end with the sohc kit. maybe not 'loses power' but at least stops producing more. from what i hear, its just the size of the turbo. up the boost, if you can, and it should help out, thats what ive been told, im only running 7psi on an untuned EMS.

Before the exahust, my top end fell flat on it's face, after the 2.5" DP and 3" catback, it pulled strong all the way to 7500.

it felt like it peaked after 5500 but i went with the afc hack and it started pulling alot harder and longer... before with the black box i would peak at 5500 but with the afc hack and higher boost of course i would lose traction in 1st but now i have the efi pms and i'm gonna turn up the boost after i get a 3 bar map sensor so i'll let you know

On a car i tuned with this kit... there was a quite noticeable drop in power around 5750 rpm, but it would pull to redline nicely with 10 psi...

No, that's the DOHC DPs I believe. The SOHC DPs is definitely 2". And hell, it looks like 2" OD, which would make it even smaller ID. Whatever it is, it's small as hell. My kid uses it as a straw to drink his Kool-Aid.

The turbo is not too small at all. My top end has always been on point (see sig) even with shitty FMU (top end killa!). I'm still running the greddy 2" DP but i have 2.5" straight back not cat no nothing.
