Default Engine problems...

Guys...i got a problem..

obdI b18c1
boosted
rc310cc injectors
s300

NO CEL***

Was out driving tonight, filled up gas, went down a road, and got on it a lil, hit 10lbs (boost cut set there) and then the engine shut off...i pulled off into a parking lot, and it just rolls over, but doesnt fire...so we towed it home...knowing it takes 4 things for an engine to run, 1)fuel, 2)air, 3)compression, 4) spark...i started running through things...i did a compression check, all 4 cylenders read 155psi accross...so although its a lower numbers, its even, so im rulling that out. I pulled a sparkplug out, plugged it back into a plug wire, and grounded it, and see no spark. havent checked the other 3, and maybe im not doing it right, but as of now, im assuming i have no spark. Fuel, i smell it, but the plugs arent covered in it, and looking down at the pistons, i dont see much of it...and im sure im getting air into the motor...

Have i over looked something? I went through s300, and put a stock map on, to see if it was my tune that did it or something, but still nothing...so im trying to resort back to the basics of engine theory, and figure this out...

Please chime in!

the only thing that controls spark is the distributor. I would take the cap off and double check everything is a-ok in it. I've had the rotor screws come loose and KO stuff in there before. Although my car still drove after that, just threw the light on.

Check fuel press too, or at least see if you can hear the pump priming.

Car is gutted, i hear the pump prime no problem...
Will check in distributor tomorow...but what am i lookin for? I check all connectors coming to it, and also check 50a fuse "ignition" and its good too...

I had this problem it ended up being the coil. If ur not gettin any spark im guessin it the coil they usually go out all of the sudden like that.

Most likely the coil or module. These are typical problems with honda distributors.

am i the only guy that noticed ur running rc310's on a gsr at 10psi?

anyway, ignitor or coil is likely the culprit, but something isnt right with ur tune, im sure of that, if ur really running rc310's lol

Is there a way to test my ignitor?

Yes, i did just pick up this project car, it really does have rc310's and it does hit 10lbs, but very briefly, because s300 hits fuel cut. ((getting 750's and a walbro 255))

Thanks again for the help guys!

I picked up a coil...but how the hell do you get it out? The rotor is in the way, and i cant get the rotor off! whats the trick?! Also, i dont have a leak guard behind the rotor, is that bad?!

the rotor has a screw that holds it on the shaft, turn the rotor until you see the screw.

If I was you I would put a leak gaurd on. The way I understand it that protects ur ignitor and those thing are not cheap.
