does anybody hear a whistling noise coming from their engine bay? 96rs drag3.

no seriously, i can only really hear it at idle when im letting the engine cool off. I hope its just a pipe vibrating(maybe)? hard to pin point, anyone else hear this?

my car has that and its basically stock(i/e).
its the sound of the air in the intake

 

Do you have an aftermarket throttlebody??? Even if you don't check out your throttle body.

 

My car does that because of the fuel pump. Whines like a banshee, and when you are sitting in the car it sounds like it is coming from the engine bay.

 

My car whistles from a few locations. One of which is the turbo while it is spooling (sounds like a plane getting ready to take off, I love it), the other noise comes from the Fuel Pump, and the last whistle comes from the intake at idle.

Nothing to worry about... I guess it would suck if you didn't like it though.

 

Do you have a boost controller and if you do what kind?
