Yes, Microtech is badass! Check out http://www.MicrotechEFI.com . Lots of the rotary guys use them.

You cannot truly tune "on the fly" with uberdata yet. You have to shut the car off, load new data into the romulator, turn the car back on and do another run. Still faster than burning chips though...

A romulator is just an eprom emulator. As long as it supports your eprom, it should work. That's not saying you'll have realtime tuning. You'll probably have to power cycle the ECU for changes to take effect until realtime tuning is fullly supported. It'll save time in the long run though, keeping you from having to take eproms in and out to burn.

Although not officially supported it does work. I keep both Uber and Romulator apps open at the same time. Save in Uber, load in Romulator and update the bin on the fly. Ive been doing it this way for some time now regardless of the editor being used.

So you've been updating bins while the engine is running? Cool...

a romulator will alow you pretty much, to tune on the fly, you will have to turn off your car. Its alot easier than taking out your ecu, pulling the cover, pulling the chip, re-burning it, and re-installing.

It's a chip with a cable connected to it. Instead of having to take out the chip and reburn it, you leave the chip in and feed it live data from the software.

Re: (spoonie_GSR)
Ive had my ostrich for a couple of months now, but i just tuned a car with it on a dyno last week. The ostrich rocks, less time fiddling with hardware and more tuning.
