Its alot easier than taking out your ecu, pulling the cover, pulling the chip, re-burning it, and re-installing.

its called ostrich..</TD></TR></TABLE>
actually with the ostrich you do not have to turn the car off. You can make changes with the car running. I have one and it works great

I don't turn the car off with the Pocket Romulator, but then again I use Crome Pro so....
You can tune a car in less than an hour using a good wideband and the Romulator. It makes things soooooo much nicer.
And sorry, but Ubergoober doesn't have anything on Crome, I have used them both and there's just no comparison.

sorry to bring this back from the dead but let me get this straight. With the romulator you can tune on the fly.. now does that mean it actually burns your settings on there or does it just save your settings for a little while in order for you to save the file then take the chip out and burn it on a rom burner when your done tuning?

you got it. Like everyone has been saying it's not necessary, but it's a time saver. Instead of memorizing what and where needs to get modified then pulling over, stopping the car, etc etc.....you just hit add 5% fuel or something and now you have 5% fuel in that column or whatever. I am on the verge of getting the Ostrich, but at $175 I still would rather burn chips and spend the extra 10 minutes total. Does anyone save time on the dyno using this?
Question: Anyone save time on the dyno using this. I mean you are making full throttle runs and just shutting the car off anyway, so how can you really save any time? If so how many runs can you get in an hour? Just wonderin thanks

Dude I am sooo glad I got the Ostrich. I never did tune my car with a burnr, but after using an Ostrich I dont think I would want to. I would just drive up and down my street a few times to get a good datalog. I would pull over review my AFR's and adjust my fuel in all the cells that needed it, and be off driving again in less then a minute and without even shutting off the car or getting out of the drivers seat.
