Re: (buckfittyone)
Hrrm, i got some 12v solenoids from mcmaster for less than $20 each. They are for liquid, but I think they'll do air also.
Ed: they are on page 385 in my catalog. It says they are compatible with gases as well as liquids, but I don't know how much heat they can tolerate.

I plan on making a dual stage controller, except im only going to use a single boost controller, and a 2 way solenoid. When the solenoid is open it will just use the stock wastegate setting, and when closed will route through my boost controller.
Every think about just doing it this way? much easier, providing your ok with the stock wastegate setting.
If you still have trouble finding a valve, the SAAB APC system uses a 3-way valve. Do an ebay search for "APC solenoid" or similar.

yeah i thought about using one solenoid and one boost controller but i want to have both adjustable high and low boost,i think your going to need a 3 way solenoid valve to make the boost controoller you want, cuz one hole goes to intake manifold ,one goes to the boost controller then to the wastegate, and the last one is vented into the atmosphere,i dont see how you can do it with just a 2 way valve.but of course i could be wrong.thanksx for the info

ok ,for my boost controllers im using 1/4 npt fittings and the solenoids on mcmastercarr are 1/8 nptwill that affect the boost controller....?im sure it will affect the signal going to the wastegate
