Default What's the power record on eagles?

I remember hearing about the 600+ hp civic trackmaster tuned a while back, but nobody believed it. I think Tom(camp1320) posted it up, but I can't recall anymore other than that....

I remember Vince from GE posting something up saying we'd be surprised what cars are running Eagle rods... I'm sure it's up there. I know quite a few people on here pushing over 500hp on them.

I wana know also, i'll be in that higher range soon and really don't want to buy new rods if Eagle H beams can handle it.

Definitely not the record, but my last engine made 510/351 on the 5/16" bolt eagles over 3 years without a tear down.

i dont think horsepower is realy to much of a problem with eagles , you should be asking what they are reving the motors to , cus i know eagls dont like to much over 9k

In all honesty I really think Eagle are a really great rod. I've built 2 motors in the past with ZERO problems! It seems that there are more Eagle users out there due to economic reasons. However, because of this, when someone has a bad experience it is blown out of proportion. Everyone has to remember there are so many out there, the probability of failures from the manufacture are high and not to mention failures from abuse, bad tuning and things of the like. I would definitely recommend these rods for a 500-600hp street car.

this what I wonder as well, I have done 3 motors with eagles and they have been good rods to me. None of them were near 500 but one of them does rev to 10k no problems. THe funny thing is that everybody knocks eagle like how they are doing to crower right now

I bet if Eagles were priced at around 550 range with upgraded bolts, people would have completely different views and opinions about these rods.
