i suggest Ferrea, we have been using Ferrea stuff since ~04 or so, on our race engines and have had NO failures.

we were using crower parts in the past, and the keepers started pulling through the retainers, so it was only a matter of time before it dropped a valve, we were just lucky to catch it before it happend. this was on multiple retainers in the same head.. not just one. we all know what a dropped valve can do... bye bye engine, bye bye turbo ! hello bank account !

i had omnistuff in a head that i sold, i was going to use it, but never did

i have used skunk2 stuff with good results.

about your thread...

how much power are you looking to lay down? you are building the engine ***** to the walls, and putting a rather small turbo on it, probably wont be good for much more then 400hp or so..... (this can be done on a bone stock engine)

this is the first turbo set up i am building completly on my own...it will be a dd so i'm only shooting for about 350-400 hp...however i am building it as much as possible for reliability and for future growth....later down the road..i plan to get another dd and dedicate this car to the track...i'll try and get as much numbers out of it as possible...

You forget to add a roll cage, fire suit, helment, and a trunk monkey in case you lost a race.

i think the majority of people that experience problems with crower products is because it was installed incorrectly and blame it on the manufacturer

hearing stories about camshafts snapping in half within 100 miles???? cmon if thats not operator error than i dont know what one is.

do you really think they would still be in business if they sell products that mysteriously break that quick/easily????

having said that. Im currently on nothing but crower valve train, my odometer hit 3500 miles not too long ago and its still running strong.

What are your power goals and what do you plan to use the car for?? It seems like you have a good idea of where to start, but need to fill in the details.

anywhere above 300....but hoping to get between 350 and 400...it's gonna be a DD and an occasional weekend warrior but i wanna prep the engine for more power because eventually (when i get another car) i'm gonna get a bigger turbo and dedicate the car to racing...i want to build it and get as much power as possible and i don't want have to pull out the engine again for a rebuild.....i know i could just use stock internals and what not for now..but i wanna save as much money and time in the future as possible...right now the timing and finances are ok for a build..so i might as well get it out of the way...hope that's a good enough explanation of my goals....

p.s. i'm not adding tuning and machine work to the list because those are services not really parts i can order..
