what engine? what turbo? what needs to be done to the engine to get 12psi reliably? what else needs to be put in for safety and for working parts?

Stock 5th Gen Civic Coupe.. thats my setup
I have a friend thats got a 90 Integra GS with a B18A1 190k miles and it ticks....
Im sure I could get it for cheap and put a new head on it, some new pistons and rods and bolts... you think that would be good enough to hold 12 psi reliably?
What head? Would a B18C5 head fit? if it doesn't bolt right up, can I weld the holes, and drill new ones?

Gut your car, then pay someone with a 10 second car $40 to tow you down the quarter......should do mid to high 12's
Heh, just kidding (well actually, it might work)
14 psi and slicks should get you low 13's, gut the car and it might do high 12's, mid 12's if you drive it good.........

He wont gut anything, and hes daily driving ... so slicks are out of the question.
This is what I think you should do.
1. Resleeve a b20b4 block with golden eagle and put a stock b16 head on it
2. Get the race engineering engine kit that has JE pistons, and Eagle rods... get it custom'd for dish pistons, and arp bolts... this cost around 890
3. Get a T3/T4 turbokit somewhere, revhard stage 2, turbokits.com... something like that ... run at 12-15psi
4. Jimfab traction bar
5. Toyo proxies
6. drive good... pray
might get you 12's.... im guessing it will
anyone agree?

LS swap with GSR tranny...about 12 psi of boost, and good fuel management will get you pretty close

there are so many combinations to be used, you might as well use the search and try to read up on other setups that have been used in the past. if you are looking strictly to run 12s and dont care about enjoying the build or originality, u could always just try to replicate someone elses setup and make adjustments to suit ur needs as necessary.
on another note, jimfab bar and toyo proxies??? he can run drags daily driving
is this gonna be ur first turbo car? if so, u should definitely do some more research before just taking a list that someone gives u and going out to buy it. nothin except maybe a large wallet is gonna help if you set out for twelves without the necessary knowledge. good luck
