I'm about to sell my Si cause of some recent problems with $.

My question is in the thread title. I plan on getting an older model civic and doing an engine swap. What civic is best for this conversion? What year, trim level (ex, cx, dx, ect) , I want it to be a coupe, I dont like hatches. I'm looking for the easiest to drop in and go, with room for a drag gen III down the road. So help me out guys!! You know what has better brakes and handling, what model will accept the swap the best and be reliable.

I would say a 5th gen hatch because it's the easiest and lightest of civics but since you do not like hatches(you have your reasons), go get a 5th gen coupe 92-95. Do a search like the man above says.

Simple answer!!!!
5th Gen EX (92-95) Why you ask? You don't wans a hatch and the ex has vtec there for no extra wire runs, everyone has one and any specific questions you have will be answered within two days.

Thats a real trick! Usually you drop the engine into the car, not the car into the engine! (Just f'in with ya!)

My choice is the 5G civic hatch, VX or SI. OBD1, light, good looking, and cheap.
