what will it take for a close to turbo stock gsr to take an evo8 ? like what hp will i need to be at and mods that will keep the engine stock as possible with out major upgrades???

 

It depends on a lot a factors, mainly the driver. I have beat an Evo 8 with a d16y8 with i/e. To beat your average driver from a roll about 230whp. From a dig 260whp in a full weight teg. Remember this is your average evo8 driver that runs about a 13.8

 

stock gsr with a basic turbo setup on 8 psi should be around the 275whp range (very broad generalization i know). that setup should trap a solid 5+mph more than an evo, so you'll win anything from a roll. a dig will be closer, but if you race long enough you will catch back up

 

nothing like owning evo's.

 

i beat evo's with a stock ls motor with a single cam greddy kit on the ls motor. from a dig and a roll.
