Default what valves to use?

i have a y8 head that is p/p with a upgraded cam for boost, port matched intake manifold and bored T/B.

it has a bent valve. so i need to replace it, it also has stock valve train right now. The cam is rated to 8800 rpm (the head can tgo there as of now, nor would i rev that high on my daily)

options:

1.get a used valve from another head and swap out just the bent one with stock valve train and call it a day.

2.buy new valves and use sock valve train and be happy

3. ***** to the wall new valve train and valves.

if i was to buy new valves which ones are good? and if I go over sized do i need new seats cut in the head?

can i clean up stock valves with a 3 angle valve job and just upgrade the valve train? how does that sound for a cost effective way to get things running again?

250 whp? I'd keep the head stock and enjoy the turbo cam, and not worry about the mutant high revs. No reason to go to unneeded expense and added wear and tear when a peaky high rpm 250 is less enjoyable that a 250 whp with a lot more midrange, all without pushing any limits.

yeah i have the greddy turbo = small turbo

I am not looking a producing a bad *** head. It will be great if I can just get it running again. I think i might pick up a cheap non vtec head and use its valves with my stock valve train and have a 3 angle valve job done.

sound like a winner?

Use non-VTEC valves? Y7 was the same core as Y8, wasn't it? I'm not up to speed on the newer D16Y stuffs.

Good luck breaking past 240whp safely with that 15G. 220-235 won't be a big problem. Steven Shoaf was running 210-220 on a 15G and spraying a 125 shot on a D16Z6, turning mid-11's, a while back. He was also changing headgaskets once a week, lol.

in all reality I am only looking at 10 maybe 12lbs tops. Tune it and be happy. I used ot have it it on a del sol with 7-8 lbs and it was a fun car. not the fastest, but fun. so I believe the 10-12 will really bring it to life.
