I got a garrett 60-1 for the same power goals you are wanting. I love it. its .63 on the exhaust side and .70 on the blower side.
Way to rep KY man. Ever attend any meets?
edit: I have a built gsr bottom end, stock head, stock sleeves.

One thing that would help narrow your selection would be a few more specific goals like when you'd like to see full boost, an approximate budget and use for the car. Also, listing your setup would give us a better idea as well.
I'm in the same boat as you basically and i opted for the Borg Warner S256. It's comparable to the GT3076r but without the ball bearing cartridge. I like that fact because on the off-chance that i have problems, the center section is rebuildable. Also, you dont have the hassle or expense of water lines. If you want more info, PM Turbodano, TheShodan or TTT. They can give more of the specifics of the turbo. I know it will easily make your goal of 500whp...ive seen it make nearly 575whp @ ~32psi (IIRC).

Too large for his power goals and out of his budget. All of the S200 and S300 series are above $1000. I would suggest PMing TheShodan and see what he has for that budget. Generally if you want a good turbo to make 500whp, you're going to need to shell out a few more bucks for a good turbo

Just for the record, I was playing around...hence the . Just seems like everyday hundreds of people ask this same questions without researching on their own.

Ahh...gotcha. I'm not always the most observant and sarcasm is a hard thing to convey online.

Thats not a bad choice, although there are better turbos out there IMO. The only problem is that his budget wont allow for an all around great turbo. Having something like the 60-1 will make your power goal, but at the expense of more lag time than necessary if you had gone with a better turbo...get my drift?

With your budget of $700, your options are limited to the 60-1 w/ the stage III wheel , to get close to the 500whp mark. If you're leaning more towards the 350-450whp mark, the standard "trim" (57 & 60 "trims") can work well for those needs. The stage III 60-1 is about $715 dollars, but with the manifold that you have, and want to keep A/C (let us know otherwise), triming of the block to fit that large of a compressor housing can present its problems.
