Thats what I found as well... The Turbonetics logo almost looks fake.

If you look in the oil drain you could find out if its ball bearing or not but seeing if theres a pin in there.

I agree the Turbonetics "T" almost looks fake like the SSAC ripoffs...someone could put a legit compressor housing on an Ebay **** turbo and make it look legit. Beware...one more thing, a trade even for a legit turbo like this for an SC61 is a bad trade for the one losing the SC61...

its not a turbonetics turbo
its a garret turbo with a turbonetics exhaust housing
it has a garrett badge on the center section also says garrett on the intake side

anyways
it has a big s on outlet and the numbers 8709 1

maybe an s cover?

That's either an E or a B housing. Here's a pic to show the difference

E housing and S housing

B housing

All I can say is try it out and see how it does. What motor is it going on, and what kinda power are you planning to make?

I don't understand how people are claiming this is an eBay turbo. It looks absolutely nothing like any knockoff turbo I've ever seen. It looks legit, measure the wheels and go from there. Even if it was a knockoff, that sucks you got ripped off, but its still a turbocharger. Use it.

^Word, look nothing near an ebay turbo. I bet it's a H-trim like I stated above but if you want to know for sure measure the damn compressor wheel.

Hey, most of the big turbos do not have the waste gate hole on the exhaust housing like the one on the picture. Big turbos use external waste gates.

That was standard on a lot of the old 5 bolts to fit an internal gate if needed. That is nothing special

No. there won't be any further information until you remove the covers and measure the wheels. Check the FAQs as to how to do that.
