boosting an H22. i don't know what to get for A/R or trim nothing. i am building the block and shooting for over 400WHP. what brand, size and so on turbo will i need. i want it to spool at lower RPM (3000 or so). any help is a start.

 

do u want it to fully spool at 3k? if so go t3.if u want it to start spooling a 3k buy a t3/t4

For fast spooling and big power you can look into the Garrett GT series turbocharger. My friend has a built H22 that we're going to push to 400-450. We were looking into a GT28R, but that's going to be too small for this application.

BTW- Are you going to run slicks at the track?

 

if all you want is 400whp i think a t3/t4 57 or 60 trim, .63ar hotside would get you there. decent spool time as well, probably not 3k but the h22 will spool it good enough.

 

i don't plan to run slicks. i track race it the same as its setup for a normal day of driving. people who say that there car runs like 12s with slicks and no interor then put street tires on and full interor and still say that its a 12 second car i am not a fan. thats not have i drive and i want to see how it does just like it would any other day of driving.

cool. yeah i have to see what the funds are looking like. work seems to be comming to an end. and i will be getting laid off it looks like. so right now i didn't spend any money so thats good. last thing i want is to have like $6000 in car **** and no job. that would suck. but yeah this summer should be fun times for sure. no rivals this year i don't think.
