if your gona do alot of highway driving then GSR, otherwise i would recommend a B16 tranny for the shorter gearing.

i have ls/vtec turbo and had an ls tranny for a while, didnt like how long the gears were. Now i got a jdm b16 tranny and the difference is great. I would say its the best one for city/track driving.

exactly, but its not in the middle, ls is super long, b16 is short, gsr is not as short as b16 but still short imo, its the best compramise iif as said above you do a lot of highway driving.

in my experience:
b16a trans puts you at 4600rpm @80mph with 205/50/15
gsr trans puts you at 4000rpm @80mph with 205/50/15

yes its in between the 2. probably the best all around gearing for higher HP cars. id use a B16 tranny for anything ~300WHP or less.

ls will pull better up top with less shifting but I wouldn't run one with less than 400whp. My two buddy's both have 420-430whp one with gsr and the other ls the gsr pulls him to 100-110ish after that he ls takes over until around 165mph then the gsr pulls back up. The one with the gsr says he has to shift more than the ls and every time he shifts the ls pulls a car until the ls gets into 5th and it loses its pull.

depends on what size tire, how high youre gonna rev, and how fast you plan to go with the car (MPH wise).

just got one for my 400hp hatch. ccant wait to hit the street with it lol.

ls trans, for as long as the gears seem is actually tighter geared than most other car trannys. us honda people just like to bitch a lot about it .

ive raced and beat a lot of hondas making same or more power as me with my ls tranny. while they were shifting and eventually up into 5th gear i was still nicely at the top of 4th. with that said, its just how it seems. im very confident with the gsr trans my car will be noticeably faster. b16 is just too short gearing imo for anythiing street, shy of hitting the track in a 9000+ rpm 24.5 or larger slick car
