b16 is a little too short if you are daily driving it. you will be at 4k at 70mph in 5th gear.

gsr tranny is plenty short for an ls IMO of course.

but i heard i will get at least 2 tenths off w/ b16. and there is not much difference in a gsr than an LS

more than that

and yes there is a BIG difference between GSR and LS...GSR is slightly longer than the B16

final drive in the gsr is higher than a ls and third, fourth and 5th are all shorter. the gsr tranny has a stronger diff and syncros thana b16 or ls tranny also.

how much highway driving do you do? 80mph is my normal cruising speed on the highway and with the b16 tranny that is about 4500rpm. on a motor with a 6900 rpm red line id say thats a little too short for daily driving.

but its your car, do as you pease. i just dont think its worth 2 tenths of a second over the gsr tranny.

most people would suggest crower 404 but i dont think its worth all the money for the gains. either boost or vtec head

I'd rather do a vtec head or boost it rather than spending a lot of money and time trying to N/A it without a vtec head.

i really wanted to make an all motor ls fast. i think it is possible to make power without having vtec. i heard crower stage 2s will make 11-17 wheel hp which seems good if not how much can i get a p72 (gsr) head for?

Did you do the tranny? Tranny will do more than LS/VTEC or any bolt on would do
