What to test before going with boost???

What to test before going with boost???

I am thinking about a Greddy kit and was wondering if I should check anything (like cylinder comp). I have a 99 GSR with 45,000 hard (but well maintained) miles.

compression, leakdown , make sure everything is in good cond, no oil leaks and **** , if all looks good, boost away
