The parts themselves are not that difficult, though I really would avoid USED turbochargers if possible. I do know there are a few L15 turbocharged applications on this site, but the key was the management of it, since it is of a higher emissions standard than before, so that gets tricky and expensive. There are a few kits, however..

Then there's the T1R Honda fit kit that is a bit more "relaxed" to improvements

For those that dissent for anything premade, this link came up, but the participants failed to remember that with anything in a new platform, unless you have the resources to do it correctly (materials, engine management, etc), you may do more harm than good.

Either way, I'm simply saying there's more to to making this work, than trying to match a good turbocharger and go by the HMT.com approach to this new platform. Research, ask questions, think about it a little more thoroughly.

Re: What specs for L15a?
I have no plans on buying one of those kits. They are great kits but half the fun with doing "car stuff" is getting the parts yourself, at least for me that is.....The last turbo kit I built was from the ground up and so will this this one. Everything else for the kit is easy to find/choose/buy except the actual turbo. That is why I was posting the question to you guys....any ideas on a size?

Re: What specs for L15a?
I'd say something similar to what comes with Greddy D series kits, maybe a little bigger. If I'm not mistaken, it comes with a 15g, which spools great on a 1.5 or 1.6.

Re: What specs for L15a?
I think you missed my point. it wasn't to try and convince you to buy a premade kit. It was to LOOOOOOOKK at what the kit consisted of in order to help determine the size of the turbocharger used for it for the type of powerband they give, and to expound on it. The only way to determine what "size" to get is to look more at what you want to get out of this power-wise, and see if that 1.5 litre (comparing static compression ratio, max rpms available, and actual displacement) can work in a similar fashion as a D-series 1.6. Remember, it may be DIFFERENT, regardless of displacement, b/c the L15 is a much more efficient platform than the D-series models. This is why you won't get any real determination on "size" unless it is calculated. Everyone else here is going to use a guesstimate to determine what to use. You gotta do a bit more work here on your part.
