what should i go with .64 or .82 a/r for my built em1 weekend warrior?
i recently bought a topmont manifold from JDL auto design a 3 '' dp and a precision 5857 billet ceramic bb. the turbo i wanted was suppose to be .63 but i got a .82 instead they said it would be no problem just exchange the housing but it got me thinking.
the car is no way shape or form a dd and but i do like to pull it on the street to meets and what not. but i currently have a gt3582r on it now and hate the slowwwwwwww spool time but i don't really wanna sacrifice any major power losses with going back down.
can any one shed some light or advise on this thanks in advance

You should feel about a little less lag with the 5857 but with the .82 hot side, the difference between the two should not be that noticeable. You say you only want to pull it to the streets for meets. Why sacrifice your power? I mean the .63 will spool faster but top end will be less.
My humble 2 cents :D

idk anyhting about .64 or .82 but there was a guy that went from a gt35 to a gt30 so its spools faster. he posted both dynos with the gt35 and 30, although the gt30 showed a lose of power of maybe 30hp it spooled way faster.. but you can always turn the boost up on the gt30 for the track and still get great power. im just trying to help. but im sure there is another way you can go, with out losing power. me my self will most likey go with either the gt30 or gt35 depends on how much power im looking for, im still in debate.

there is a lot of diffrences and options when it comes to the gt30 or 35.

That could work, but with that JDL design manifold, and the TiAL v-band turbine inlet, Cleansi will need to chop that to run a Precision. Kinda of a waste with a big top mount like that with a smaller turbo application. A lot of your response loss could easily be contributed by that top mount amnifold.

Yeah man if you were worried about spool you should have gotten something with shorter runners. I would say on the housing issue go for the .82. Especially with that manifold man.

i would of gone with a mini ram something like that but the top mont is far sexier even though it might be overplayed.
