Just wondering what the sensors are on the back of my b18a block. There are two to the left of the oil fiter... I'm thinking of replacing them becuase they look corroded. My haynes doesnt tell me and I cant find it on acuraoemparts.com

thought OBD1 didnt have a knock sensor?

 

why is this in FI?

 

If its an older b18b, ones and oil temp switch(2 wires,what all data says) the other is your oil dummy light.(1 wire)

Ok I'm bringing this back from the dead because I'm still not sure what sensors are on the back of the block.

There is an oil pressure switch (1 wire) I know for sure.

There is two other sensors I'm unsure of. The Service manual says there is an

Oil Temp Switch
ECT Switch
Knock Sensor (GSR)

one sensor I dont have a plug for. It has two plugs just like the oil pressure swtich...

 

ok so what the hell are the sensors (beside the oil pressure)?

I dont even have a plug for the one with the two male prongs...

 

green one is oil temp, (keeps fan running when car is off to cool the motor), the male 2 pin water temp sensor.

 

well I dont have those plugs on my harness... is it possible that I have an ECT soemwhere else that thats only there to plug the hole? I have one on the top left of the cylinder head and one water plug with the t-stat I believe....

 

So are these sensors only located on the B18a?

 

is it me or your oil T is not screw on straight

 

I only threaded it like 3 turns for the picturs.




I'm having problems with my wiring harness! I'm using an OBD2 harness so I'm going to say these plugs arent going to be on the wiring harness? I know the oil pressure sensor is on the harness but I'm wondering about the Oil Temp. Sensor.

Does anyone have a Sensor/wire color documentation for wire harness tucking?
