Both are an acceptable option.

Use the cp rings meant for that piston/ bore size. I find it hard to believe oem is sized correctly for that piston.

You can use CP or Wiseco rings. Both use a 1.0, 1.2, 2.8mm moly rings.

CP: CPN-3307
Wiseco: 8400xx

My machinist was very impressed with the CP pistons and rings. He used to assemble engines for indy car teams so that is saying something.

Um round ones? Jk lol

Typically a "shelf" forged piston will use the same size rings as an OEM piston in regards to thickness/height.

CP rings are quality, total seal rings are nice pieces as well. OEM will also work assuming what I said about ring size.

For the most part all of the rings for a particular application are the same if not damn similar. It's only when you start making huge power, running very high rpm for long durations, or are building a motor around vert specific requirements for operation that the design of the rings starts to come into play.

Basically if they are round and fit the piston and are gapped and installed correctly you should be fine.
