Default What race gas do you use?

I have been thinking about a way to run a higher octane race fuel in my car. Right now i use Sunoco 100 because it is available at a few pumps around my area. I have seen unleaded 104 from Sunoco before but it is an hour away from me and i dont want to fill up cans everytime im near there. Is there anything available in unleaded that is higher octane or must i set up the car to run unleaded fuel. I was sort of thinking on tuning the car well (i have unlimited access to a dyno) and on my Power FC turning the 02 off. In that mode it will just read off the maps and the 02 will do nothing even at idle. Im not really concerned with an idle, i dont even use the IAC valve and i run Crower 404s so the idle will not be great anyway. So it all boils down to what is the best unleaded race fuel and is it good enough or should i consider running leaded gas? The gas station down the road from me sells 112 octane leaded there because of all the street rods on my area.

Where do i get this C16? I have never seen it at the tracks here in PA. They all have a Sunoco but nothing called VP or C16. Will the lead do anything to my o2 or is that just a rumor.

if you're running a stock o2 it will get screwed up quick by leaded gas. look up vp fuel in google and see wheres your nearest distributer.

Thank you. What i plan to do eventually is to have my Power FC totally ignore the o2 sensor once i feel that my maps are set perfectly. Then i will be able to run the leaded gas but in the meantime i would like to get something that is easy on the o2 sensor. Once i get the motor together and a small break in period i will spend some time on our dyno to get it set properly so running leaded will be no problem.

At the track, I always try to run the 108 octane purple Sunoco stuff.
They told me there 116 octane gas might actually burn too slow. it's for 14 to 1 compression or higher, to control detonation. Wouldn't do anything on a street turbo car.
