what power to expect ?
hi guys.
sorry this probably gets asked a million times... should be getting my turbo itr mapped soon, just wondering was sort of figures to expect, brief spec as follows:
b18c with jdm ITR head and cams, wiseco pistons/eagle rods, afi 'street series' turbo kit with t3/t4 57trim, tial ext/wg 38mm, full 3" exhaust system (turbo back) ectune managment. on pump gas (98ron)
what sort of power is it likely to make at 0.7bar (10psi)
and what amount of boost would be needed to hit around 400 @ the fly?
dan (u.k)

Re: what power to expect ?
There's no telling, really, which is why every time someone asks this question they never get a solid answer.
Here's some things that VERY MUCH matter, but you have no way to tell us: the temperature and barometric pressure on the day of testing, how good your tuner is, how good your tuning hardware is, your charge pipe layout, the valve lash, injector spray pattern, ignition power, plug quality, fuel quality, catalytic converter design, yadda yadda yadda.
We could tell you it's gonna be 300HP, and it could end up being 275HP or 350HP. The reality is, you will never know what to expect until it's on the rollers.

Re: what power to expect ?
lol yep dont get me wrong guys, im not one to ''chase'' figures, just trying to get a 'rough' idea of what she should be pushing out, as i thought there would be quite alot of people with similar specs on here, so just interested to hear what other guys are pushing with a similar setup

Re: what power to expect ?
Is that your actual power goal? If it is let the amount of boost be your least worry, your tuner will use whatever psi your setup will take to make that 400 bhp. Good Luck, and report back with the results. (and a vid! ;-))
