Default What plug gap has worked well?

H22 stock engine 6.5-7 psi Garrett t60-1 turbo. Was taking the advice of others about plug gap. Set mine to .75mm (stock is 1.1mm). Those of you that have h22, what gap are you running? Any disadvantanges?

i've used .028 .. then started blowing it out with higher boost.. and eventually ended up at like .020

The only disadvantage with a smaller gap is that you have a very slight chance of a misfire (not igniting) during light load. You THEORETICLY could get slightly worse fuel ecconomy during regular driving with a small gap. Since you aren't making a fuelsaver car, don't give it a second thought. Run the .75mm/.029" gap like most others do, and gap smaller if you NEED to when/if you crank the boost up.

FYI the reason you need to decrease the gap is because you have more atoms between the strap & electrode (at a fixed spacing) when you 'boost' than during low load, such as high-vac idle. 'Blowing out the spark' is little more than putting too many atoms between the groundstrap and electrode, preventing it from arcing across the gap.
