Default what is this part?

this part can be found under the battery by the firewall and i was wondering what it is. i'm assuming it's a charcoal canister but i'm not sure. does anyone know what this part is called and what does it do??

one of the hoses, as label on the pic is connected to the intake manifold, i guess it needs vacuum. so i'm wondering, is it a good idea to tee'd off that hose for turbo parts like, bov, boost gauge and etc.? will there be any oil passing through that hose like the hose of the pcv?

i'm asking coz i've already tee'd off the stock fpr and would like to seperate some to that hose so there won't be numerous parts on one vacuum source(stock fpr).

any help will be appreciated.

if pic don't work, here's another link:

its a charcoal canister and you can tee off of the hose that goes to the vacuum source on the intake.

won't there be any oil/gas residue passing through that hose? coz people say it's not advisable to tee'd off the pcv hose vacuum source since there are some oil residue passing through it so i was wondering if there will be any oil/gas residue passing through that hose as well since i'm not very familiar how charcoal canister works.

Theres no oil or gas in that one. The other one, gas vapors. The smaller one is just a vacuum valve.
