I personally use mobil1 synthetic oil and any basic filter. i have a BUILT B18 running 15PSI
a co-worker of mine has a track civic that was running 55PSI and he ended up blowing out his oil pan half way down the track.. he got to the pits still running and shut it off.. NO damage to any of the rotating assembly, still lubed.. He was using Royal Purple and clams it saved his motors life.

hey, CTR32, that's my avatar!
i use mobil 1 filters and redline oils. amsoil is great oil as well. mobil 1 filters seem to continually grade out above anything else out there, including amsoil's own filter. and...the oils, well, amsoil and redline are ultra premium oils and you just can't go wrong there. i also get my oil analyzed if any major changes are made or if the engine was new, etc to see what kind of intervals i can use, so i'm not just arbitrarily changing my oil and wasting dollarz.
it's not uncommon to go 5k-7.5k miles with my setup, and i'm direct injected, high compression AND turbo ; )

oem filter the 15400-PLM-A01 made by filtec not the shitty oem honeywell filters (a02) if I cant get the A01 then I go with wix filters .I run Motul 300v oil 5w 30 (winter) 15w 40 (summer) .It really depends on your set up as what to run motul would be great in a stock dd but not necessary .

I prefer WIX filters myself but any name brand filter should be sufficient. The oil filter only needs to clean out dead birds and tree branches anyway.
