im planning on getting a used gsr integra and putting a conservative greddy turbo would i still be ok with 91 octane???

You pump the highest gas you have around, the higher the octane the more power you will be able to make. im using 93 for my greddy kit and have no problem paying 2.50 per gallon, it all worth it to me in the end, if you spend the money to go turbo then you shouldnt try to save a buck or 2 at the pump.

you don't make more power with higher octane, you just help prevent detonation. I know it's picky

does it matter if i turbo a LS or gsr in terms of 91 octane?

does a gsr turbo require higher octane? just trying to decide what my next street/track will be.

im kind of set on an integra or 240

i want to go turbo this time but want to know what kind of setup i can get away with with just 91 octane

adseguy is correct on this one. You want to run the higher octane simply to prevent any form of knock/detonation. A car will feel faster because with the higher octane the ECU is not going into limp mode because the knock sensor is picking up small harmonics. I'm not familiar with Hondas, so I am assuming the ECU has the ability to retard. I would firmly suggest running the highest octane on pump gas you can find.

what if the highest in my area is 110 octane? seriously we have straight race gas at the pump here.

lol, i use 93 and sometimes put some octane booster in..

the higher the compression the more chance of detonation so the higher the octane you need to put in it. the LS will always be safer on 91 octane, but a properly tuned GSR will be fine on 91 as well.

From my understanding, the higher octane, it allows you to run more boost. So depending on how much boost you want to run, that will determine what octane you should use.

Safer power. In a car running knock sensor could be more power.
