Why do boosted single cam 1.6 seem to make more torque than boosted dual cam 1.6L?

Why do boosted single cam 1.6 seem to make more torque than boosted dual cam 1.6L?
Like it says, from alot of dynos i've seen and alot of stuff that i've read. boosted d series 1.6 liter stock motors seem to make more torque than boost b16's do stock. why is that? what accounts for the increased torque? anyone know why?

they have longer stroke and the head doesnt flow as well wich tends to lead to higher torque lower hp.

Yep, the B has a bigger bore but they are both 1.6 liters. so the d has to have a longer stroke to make up for the lack of girth
