Amen to that. Also, I would've taken my sweet time with the install. It was a little sloppy and because of it I had to do a lot of touch-up work.

This post is great, so far it looks like the two big things not to do are skimp on fuel management and oil return lines. Good things to know. Sorry i cant contribute any experience but ive been reading the boards for awhile and the biggest thing i have picked up on is the importance of tuning and fuel management, so im gonna say dont skimp on those. Plan your budget to include tuning, unless you can do it yourself obviously.
be ready for a whole shitload of probs!! so many things can go wrong with a turbo esp from my experience i didnt know too much make sure u got plenty of time and a second car!

Can you elaborate as to why? You are the first person to mention that on this post and although I am for sure getting one...I was wondering why you said that...

autometer type a/f gauges aren't usually that accurate or specific to use as a safety measure alone. as an example... when i ran the afc hack tuned to like 12:1 a/f ratio... my egt's (probe in downpipe) would be like say 800 degrees C at WOT full boost. When I went hondata my EGTs dropped like 100 degrees. The a/f gauge was in the green on both situations.

Learn and research and DO IT YOURSELF. Saves money and is extremly gratifying.
Don't turbo an automatic.
T3/T4 hybrid turbo's from turbonetics/FMAX are known to have bad seals.
TUNE your car! Its the best thing you can do. It will save your car.
Have patience.
Question: Whats wrong with a Check Valve...is this the MAP SENSOR BYPASS VALVE? Missing Link? This is the device that fools the stock 1 Bar Sensor right?

ok so there is a big stink about FMU. ok here is the setup i was planning. t3 turbo on a stock b16 no more than 8psi. stock injectors, would the FMU be uncapable on this setup, i have heard other wise and i was wondering. also zydene also says a stock map sensor is good to 9psi or so so do i really need a missing link.
if you have a custom kit, test fit absolutely everything first before even starting an install minor alignment issues could cost you a day of redoing a downpipe or charge piping.
never ever rush.
give your car a day or two before you actually drive it any further than your local area.
make sure all your vital parts like oil lines are in no direct contact with heat, sharp edges, wastegate vent tubes or anything else that could damage them.

remember this .... if you plan 1 hour to do something...like install an oil cooler...you multipied by 3 ....
ex : Ok its times to get my new DP install...
So I figure 45 minutes.....
45 min x 3 = 135 min.
Im sure that everyone who have dirty hands know this rules...

DO NOT do endless burnouts in your newly car tranny for a crowd of onlookers, slamming threw gears on a 100k+ tranny thinking it can take it
Watched a guy blow the spider gears right thru the back of his tranny...he was 70 miles from home

lol, i saw the same thing happen this past weekend at rockfalls raceway in WI. except it was a girl driving a caviler...damn i feel sorry for her. also saw a hold fly open smashing the windshield, and car parts flying off.

Well...EGT temps change based on changing other variables such as timing. So maybe hondata helped get timing in check better than your AFC hack.
Personally I think good gauges should be present to keep tabs that everything is in proper order. Although I get the feeling that most buy them for looks...but thats just my opinion.

Do your research so you will already know the potential problems and be able to fix them immediatly and not ruin you nice new turbo parts. I had mine 100% right except i reused the oil pan gasket and it leaked a bit out the back
needless to say I was under the car the next day putting in a new one when i could have been bailing.......in my hatch

i most definitely agree with that. that's what i was trying to point out. but remember higher EGT temps can be bad so having an EGT gauge is an added "warning" gauge
